Meeting of the Heads of Government of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in a narrow format began in Cholpon-Ata city.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov noted that Issyk-Kul has already become a traditional venue for the summer meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
«We have a very rich agenda. I wish everyone fruitful and constructive work,» the head of the Cabinet concluded.
The meeting then continued behind closed doors. The Heads of the EAEU Government will gather for a meeting in an expanded format with the participation of observers on Friday, August 25.
At the meeting, the Heads of Government of the EAEU countries will consider the progress in preparing an international agreement on formation of a common gas market. They will also discuss the issue of amending the agreement regarding the collection of indirect taxes on electronic trade in goods sold to individuals, the list of priority integration infrastructure projects of the EAEU countries in the field of transport. The agenda also includes the issue of further work to expand the use of national currencies of the member states in settlements within the framework of mutual trade.
