Customs officers detained more than four tons of smuggled grapes. The State Customs Service reported.
A Mercedes-Benz van driven by a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic was stopped and checked in Osh.
During inspection of the cargo compartment, 2,200 kilograms of grapes for 132,500 soms were found.
According to customs officials, the Kyrgyzstani tried to illegally import the goods from Tajikistan.
The facts were registered; the collected materials were sent to the prosecutor’s office of Osh region for a procedural decision.
