A new municipal enterprise, Bishkekvodkhoz, has been created in the structure of the City Hall of Bishkek. Its press service reported.
The new subdivision is opened «in order to develop and effectively manage water facilities, improve the irrigation water supply system, taking into account the need to determine a single balance holder for municipal irrigation facilities and hydraulic structures, as well as increase the responsibility of the contractor for works and services on provision with irrigation water, accelerate resolving of issues of restoration and repair of irrigation and collector-drainage networks».
The City Hall notes that the creation of Bishkekvodkhoz will make it possible to comprehensively address issues of improving the green image of the capital, to timely repair irrigation and collector-drainage networks, supply channels, to regulate the supply of irrigation water and its rational use for its intended purpose, to carry out cleaning and current repairs in a timely manner of irrigation networks and supply channels, as well as to strengthen control over the use of irrigation water by economic entities.
To date, the function of maintaining and repairing irrigation and collector-drainage networks, main canals, irrigation water pipelines and irrigation wells, and supplying irrigation water is assigned to Bishkekzelenkhoz municipal enterprise.
