Construction of a new building of the City Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Bishkek will require $25 million. The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan asks the Arab Coordination Group for funding. The acting head of the ministry, Zharkynbek Kasymbekov, told following a meeting with investors.
According to him, the construction of the building will require $20 million and $5 million for furniture and equipment.
«If we implement this project, then by 2026 we will be able to cover 70 percent of planned and emergency operations that are performed in the city. There will also be an opportunity to improve conditions in regional hospitals,» Zharkynbek Kasymbekov said.
The buildings of the City Clinical Hospital No. 1 were constructed by Intergelpo Czech Cooperative back in the 1930s. Development of a project for the construction of a new hospital building began in January 2018. The search for investors is still ongoing.
