A system of satellite monitoring of public transport has been introduced in Osh city. Press service of the City Hall reported.
The head of the municipality, Almaz Mambetov, met with the leaders and representatives of transport companies serving all 45 city minibus routes, and presented the system.
«The main goal of the system is to create favorable conditions for citizens and guests of the city in using the public transport and control the operation of minibuses. Each passenger can plan his or her trip using the OSHBUS mobile application, where the routes and movement of all minibuses currently serving the lines are displayed online. In addition, the system allows to search for both individual routes and stopping points,» he said.
The system will allow the services that organize the work of public transport to conduct daily monitoring of the qualitative and quantitative state of the work of minibuses.
The City Hall added that the Bus Service GPS tracking system had been successfully introduced in municipal buses and trolleybuses earlier.
