Activist Ondurush Toktonasyrov held a one-man protest on Ala-Too Square in Bishkek against the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
The head of the neighboring state participated in the 4th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian countries that was held in Cholpon-Ata city.
«Until yesterday, I thought that Emomali Rahmon would not come to the meeting of the presidents in Cholpon-Ata. He became famous throughout the world as a military aggressor. 36 people died because of him. I thought his conscience would not let him, but he came,» Ondurush Toktonasyrov commented on the protest to 24.kg news agency.
The first Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia was held in Nur-Sultan (2018), the second — in Tashkent (2019). In 2020, the summit was planned to be held in Kyrgyzstan, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was postponed for a year. Turkmenistan hosted the third meeting in August 2021.
