Everyone interested can get from Bishkek to Balykchy in a luxury train passenger car, which was first tested by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov. Daiyrbek Orunbekov, the head of the department of Kyrgyz Temir Zholu state enterprise, announced.
Luxury cars will start running from July 22. The modernized cars have 51 seats. They have panoramic windows, air conditioning system, a water cooler, a refrigerator, as well as TVs with a stereo system, and there is a possibility to charge mobile devices.
Fare for travel in new cars for all passengers is fixed — 500 soms per person, regardless of the drop-off place. The fare for children from five to ten years old is 250 soms. Free travel is allowed for children under five, provided that they do not take a seat. Transportation of a luggage weighting up to 36 kilograms is free.
The modernized cars will run only until August 31 every two days. Trains with common cars run from Bishkek to Balykchy every day.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov was one of the first to test the modernized cars; he held a visiting meeting and discussed plans to improve the railway infrastructure.
