Kyrgyzstan plans to conduct constant monitoring of air quality at the state level starting from August. The Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision Dinara Kutmanova announced during a press conference following the results of the first half of 2022.
According to her, work on accreditation of the control laboratory, as well as work on its technical equipping, should be completed by the end of July.
«The accreditation period of the atmospheric air laboratory expired in 2016, and since that moment we have been updating it,» the minister noted.
She also clarified that the laboratory will start its work with studying and monitoring the impact of the Bishkek Heating and Power Plant on air quality in the capital and will carry out environmental monitoring at coal deposits.
