Law enforcement officers stopped a truck that belonged to a resident of Rishton district of Fergana region for inspection. During the inspection, they found out that the truck transported valuable cargo without accompanying documents. The value of the cargo is estimated at 15 billion soms. Smugglers attempted to transport 2,707 mobile devices, including IPhone 13 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S 22 Ultra, RedMe Note 11 pro and others in the vehicle.
A tunnel was found in the driver’s house. Its width varied from 1 to 1.5 meters, height — 2 meters, length — 130 meters. The tunnel had an elevator, ventilation system and lighting, and its walls and floor were well finished.
«It connected the house of the detained citizen with Kadamdzhai district of Batken region of Kyrgyzstan and was repeatedly used to smuggle goods from Kyrgyzstan. A criminal case has been initiated. An investigation is underway,» the statement says.
