President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held a working meeting on the social and economic development of the country’s regions. Press service of the head of state reported.
Issues of the social and economic development of the regions, implementation of decisions and execution of instructions from the President and the Cabinet of Ministers at the local level were considered.
The tasks set for the regions and plans for the near future, urgent solution of problematic issues on the local level were discussed.
The head of state noted the lack of performance discipline. In some cases, he pointed to the weak work of the heads of rural administrations, heads of districts and plenipotentiaries in the regions in specific areas.
Sadyr Japarov drew attention to the issues of further development of the tourism sector at the local level and close cooperation between the regions and the Tourism Development Support Fund, the authorized capital of which has been increased to 1 billion soms.
The President noted the inadmissibility of irresponsible work of local governments and instructed to tighten control over the implementation of decisions of the central government. The presidential envoys to the regions were instructed to promptly resolve pressing issues at the local level.
