A state of emergency was declared in Naryn due to mudflows. Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, heavy rains flooded residential buildings in some districts on June 13. Downpours also resulted in mudflows in the southern part of Naryn city. About 50 houses and courtyards along Bulak and Mazar-Bulak Streets were flooded. Floods hampered traffic movement along Sary-Bulak — Archaly road in Kochkor district.
None of the local residents was injured, the ministry reported. At least 37 rescuers and special equipment are involved in elimination of consequences of the natural disaster.
