A school should be built in place of the central mosque in Bishkek. Deputy Bakhridin Shabazov said today at a meeting of the Parliament.
He proposed to exchange the land of the mosque and the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan for another plot.
«We can offer the muftiyat an equivalent plot in another place and we can build a school on the existing one. This area is very densely populated. The school which is next to the central mosque is overcrowded. The traffic jams on Fridays are an inconvenience for the citizens. We can build a modern school in place of the mosque,» the MP said.
