The Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan visited a branch of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
Its rector Zhanseit Tuimebaev gave a tour around the building and told about the educational institution.
The decision to open the branch was made following the state visit of Sadyr Japarov to Kazakhstan in March 2021.
Students will be trained in the specialties that are currently in demand in Kyrgyzstan and abroad: IT technologies, mining, use of natural resources, tourism and much more.
It is expected to attract 30 percent of the teaching staff from the head university in Kazakhstan, and 70 percent will be teachers from Kyrgyzstan.
In the future, it is planned to create a scientific laboratory for collective use and a technology park.
The branch will train citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, as well as other countries. The leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan inspected the building of the educational institution and left a note and their wishes in the book of honored guests of the university.
