Transboundary water resources are the joint wealth of the countries in the region. The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said today in Bishkek.
He noted that many environmental international organizations are talking about the impending problem of water scarcity in the near future.
«There won’t be much water in the future. There will be a shortage. Authoritative environmental organizations speak about this. The states of Central Asia must take joint action. In turn, Kazakhstan is ready to adhere to all agreements,» Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
He focused on the trade and economic relations between the two countries and noted that Kazakhstan is one of the main partners of Kyrgyzstan. He added that the Republic of Kazakhstan is ready to double the trade turnover between the states.
According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Sadyr Japarov and he agreed to simplify the transportation of goods across the border.
