An international criminal gang that supplied illicit drugs has been detected in Kyrgyzstan. The press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported.
The transnational group was engaged in the supply of medicines that contain psychotropic substances, free circulation of which is prohibited on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. A criminal case has been initiated under the article «Smuggling of items for which special rules have been established for moving across the customs border» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«One of the actual owners of the cargo has been identified, he was detained and taken into custody in the pre-trial detention center of the SCNS. Investigative and operational measures are underway to identify the persons involved in this fact, customs officials are among them,» SCNS reported.
