Cabinet promises to increase salaries of teachers by 20 percent annually

«We will make every effort to increase the salaries of teachers and doctors by 20 percent annually,» Akylbek Japarov, head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, said during a meeting with teachers and residents of Toguz-Bulak village in Tyup district, Issyk-Kul region.

He said that when he was a finance minister, President Sadyr Japarov instructed him to increase the salaries of teachers and doctors, as well as allowances for people with disabilities.

«We have succeeded in fulfillment of these plans. In addition, it was decided to increase the amount of benefits for children from low-income families from 850 soms to 1,200 soms from June 1 of this year, and it is planned to increase pensions in October,» the head of the Cabinet said.

The official also got acquainted with the construction of a new building of the school named after T. Sydykbekov in Ken-Suu village, designed for 525 students and visited a modern sports hall, which is being built at the expense of the Issyk-Kul Region Development Fund.

During the working trip, Akylbek Japarov was informed about the project of the state history and culture memorial museum-reserve in Santash village, Tyup district. At least 50 million soms will be allocated from the Tourism Development Fund for the construction of the complex, which will be located on Tyup — Kegen road.

Akylbek Japarov visited the border village of Karkyra in Tyup district, where he met with local residents. They told about the lack of schools and the need to build new social facilities.
