Unknown young men beat foreign students in Bishkek. Eyewitnesses informed 24.kg news agency.
The students came to Salam Namaste cafe, where the incident occurred.
The café staff confirmed this information. The fight took place on May 7 at about 11.30 p.m.
«Students from India came to the cafe, they didn’t even have time to order food. At this time, Kyrgyzstanis entered the cafe, attacked them and began to beat. According to preliminary data, three people were injured. The reasons for the fight are unknown,» the café staff said.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact of beating a citizen of India, the Internal Affairs Department of Leninsky district of Bishkek reported.
The police reportedly received a message about the incident on May 8 at 2.12 a.m. The 22-year-old Indian citizen was admitted to the National Hospital with bodily injuries.
