Smuggled goods detained in Batken region of Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstanis were detained for smuggling in Batken region. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) informed 24.kg news agency.

A citizen of Kyrgyzstan was detained near Eski-Oochu village, Leilek district, who was trying to illegally export 480 kilograms of washing powder to Tajikistan by a Zhiguli car. Previously, this citizen was detained for attempt to smuggle 80 boxes of sweets across the state border. Then he was heading to Tajikistan along the same route.

Border patrol also discovered about 1 ton of Uzbek-made mineral fertilizers in the village of Korgon-Tobo, Ala-Buka district, 15 meters from the state border on the territory of Kyrgyzstan on April 29.

Another Kyrgyzstani was detained at the state border, who was trying to smuggle 4,000 cans of energy drinks to Tajikistan by a Hyundai Porter truck. The driver did not have documents for the drinks.
