Kyrgyzstanis have raised 230,000 soms as humanitarian aid for Ukraine. An activist Japar Usenov told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the money was sent to the Ukrainian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
«The fundraising campaign was held in order to urge our government, and also to show that ordinary Kyrgyzstanis are not indifferent to this situation. The fundraising was rather difficult, there were many different comments. The most important thing is that the money was collected and sent,» Japar Usenov said.
Earlier it was reported that Kyrgyzstanis sent the first batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
The situation in Ukraine remains difficult. The fighting continues. Russia started a special military operation on February 24, 2022. The number of casualties among the military and civilians continues to grow. Many countries have imposed and continue to impose severe sanctions against the Russian Federation.
