Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov received the Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Shixin Chen. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
The parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations in the energy sector. In particular, they discussed development of renewable energy sources, green economy, construction of small hydroelectric power plants, as well as cooperation in the field of food security and agriculture.
The parties noted the need to establish partnership in the field of industrial entrepreneurship and promotion of regional cooperation, reconstruction and construction of production facilities, power lines, development of transport and road infrastructure, state mortgage lending.
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers reminded of the Bishkek Energy Forum held last week, following which documents were signed on the development of projects in the field of renewable energy sources. In turn, the ADB Vice President thanked Akylbek Japarov for organizing a trip to Kumtor mine.
«Kyrgyzstan is an important partner of the Asian Development Bank. We intend to develop and strengthen cooperation within the framework of our commitments on key issues, including the transport and energy sectors. The republic has a clear vision and plan for further development, and we want to take an active part in these events,» Shixin Chen concluded.
