The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers received the Ambassadors of Qatar and Saudi Arabia to Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
At a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Qatar to Kyrgyzstan Abdullah bin Ahmad Abdullah Saleh Al-Sulaiti, the head of the Cabinet noted the progressive nature of the Kyrgyz-Qatari cooperation and existence of the necessary legal framework for further expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
«There are good opportunities between our states for enhancing trade and economic cooperation. Our country is interested in expanding the existing potential in this area, including through the intensification of the work of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation. As a producer of organic products, we are interested in increasing exports of meat products, dried fruits, vegetables, nuts, honey and a number of other products to Qatar,» Akylbek Japarov said.
Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the issue of organizing mutual visits at the highest and high levels in 2022, as well as implementation of joint projects in the healthcare sector, in particular the construction of medical facilities on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kyrgyzstan Ibrahim Al-Radi.
The Chairman of the Cabinet noted that the recent visit of the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to Kyrgyzstan would give impetus to the development of bilateral relations. Akylbek Japarov added that the priority tasks for the development of bilateral relations include holding of the Kyrgyz-Saudi Business Forum, the third meeting of the intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Saudi commission, as well as opening of regular flights between the two countries.
The parties also stressed the importance of organizing mutual visits at high and highest levels, strengthening cooperation at multilateral platforms and in international organizations.
