Total expenditures within the anti-crisis plan of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan will reach 126 billion soms. The Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev announced today at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to him, international agencies made optimistic forecasts for economic development last year. However, those plans are irrelevant today. He also noted that the sanctions against Russia put strong pressure on Kyrgyzstan. There is increased pressure on the exchange rate of the som and growing consumer prices. In addition, there are challenges related to food and energy security.
«We are monitoring the situation and we can say that we show some resilience. The anti-crisis plan is backed by real sources of financing for the first time ever. According to the plan for 2022-2026, the government’s task is to bring the country to the parameters that we have planned for the short and long term,» Daniyar Amangeldiev concluded.
