A zero value added tax rate was set for the import of a number of goods by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan. It was announced at a meeting of the Cabinet.
The decision concerns granulated sugar and refined vegetable oil. The benefit will be valid from April 1 to December 31, 2022.
A total of 14 issues were considered at the Cabinet meeting. In particular, the procedure for collecting taxes payable and the methodology for determining tax liabilities based on indirect methods were approved. At the same time, a number of draft normative legal acts were sent for revision.
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers criticized the preparation by state bodies of draft regulatory legal acts. He noted that all drafts must undergo thorough legal and economic expertise.
«It is unacceptable to introduce incompletely worked out, defective draft decisions. Each member of the Cabinet of Ministers is responsible for the submitted drafts. Don’t forget about it. The draft decision should be supported by detailed and verified calculations, especially when it is the construction of educational institutions,» Akylbek Japarov concluded.
