The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan and WHO signed a cooperation agreement for 2022-2023. Press center of the ministry reported.
The Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev is on a working trip to Turkey, where he takes part in a meeting on health and migration issues «Joint formation of the concept on protection of the health of refugees and migrants.»
«The day before, the minister met with Hans Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe. The parties signed a two-year cooperation agreement between the ministry and the WHO Regional Office for Europe. The document provides a practical framework for cooperation, agreed upon through a process of successive consultations between the national health authorities of Kyrgyzstan and the Regional Office for Europe with the overall goal of achieving the objectives of WHO’s thirteenth general program of work 2019–2023, program for 2021–2025 «Joint action for improving health» and the national healthcare policy of the Kyrgyz Republic,» the ministry noted.
The main priority areas for cooperation are: achieving universal healthcare coverage, protection against emergencies in healthcare and promoting health and well-being.
«Our mission is to continue strengthening the capacity of primary health care, improving early detection and response to public health incidents through the implementation of digital solutions. These tasks will allow us to effectively move forward towards ensuring a healthy life and improving well-being for all people of all ages,» Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said.
