79 Kyrgyzstanis evacuated from Ukraine to return home on March 18

At least 79 citizens of Kyrgyzstan evacuated from Ukraine will arrive in Bishkek and Osh on Friday. Representative of the International Organization for Migration Gazi Babayarova told 24.kg news agency.

According to her, half of the Kyrgyzstanis from this group will fly from Prague to Bishkek, the rest — to the southern capital.

«They have to pass a PCR test. The last two weeks have been very difficult, but we managed, the documents are ready. The International Organization for Migration bought tickets for everyone. Everyone who came from Hungary and Poland to the Czech Republic is returning to the Kyrgyz Republic,» Gazi Babayarova said.

The International Organization for Migration agreed to support the Kyrgyzstanis evacuated from Ukraine and who found themselves in a difficult financial situation by buying air tickets for them.

According to the latest information from the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine, 559 Kyrgyzstanis have been evacuated from Ukraine since the start of hostilities. At least 93 people are still in the country.

Situation in Ukraine remains complicated. Fighting continues. Russia started a special military operation on February 24, 2022. The number of military and civilian casualties continues to grow. Many states have imposed and continue to impose severe sanctions on Russia.
