Kyrgyzstan asks the Eurasian Development Bank to extend the term for repayment of loans received for commissioning of the second hydroelectric unit of Kambarata-2. The Deputy Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Tilek Aitaliev said at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on fuel and energy complex, subsoil use and industrial policy.
According to him, it is proposed to extend the loan repayment period for two years.
«The agreement was drawn up in 2017. Five years later, that is, from March 30, 2022, we should have started paying. We ask to count the five-year period from 2019, from the moment the agreement came into force,» Tilek Aitaliev said.
The loan amount is $110 million provided for 20 years.
