Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with the Honorary Consul of Kyrgyzstan in Finland Petri Olavi Numminen. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Issues of bilateral cooperation between the countries were discussed at the meeting. Issues of stepping up activities to promote economic diplomacy and attract investment were touched upon.
Akylbek Japarov informed the diplomat that the priority programs of the Cabinet of Ministers are the green economy, agriculture, renewable energy sources, light industry, tourism and digitalization.
In turn, Petri Olavi Numminen informed the head of the Cabinet of Ministers about the ongoing work to attract Finnish investors to Kyrgyzstan.
He informed about the planned visit of representatives of business circles of Finland to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Akylbek Japarov reminded about the advantages of doing business in the country, including liberal laws, favorable conditions for doing business, and low tax rates. He suggested considering the prospects for creation of a cluster for the development of winter mountain tourism with the participation of Finnish investors, as well as the possibility of exporting bottled water to world markets using Finland’s experience.
