President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held meetings with the leaders of Mongolia and Finland as part of the High-Level Week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. His press service reported.
Meeting with the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh
During the meeting with the President of Mongolia, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, energy, transport and logistics spheres.
Sadyr Japarov emphasized the importance of deepening ties between the countries and implementing joint projects.
Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh expressed readiness to intensify cooperation in various areas, including science, education and ecology.
The leaders confirmed their desire to strengthen partnership and promote key initiatives for the sustainable development of the two countries.
During the meeting with the President of Finland, the parties discussed prospects for deepening cooperation and key issues on the international agenda.
Sadyr Japarov congratulated Finland on its upcoming chairmanship of the OSCE in 2025 and noted the importance of this event in the context of the 50th anniversary of signing of the Helsinki Final Act.
The President of the Kyrgyz Republic also announced the country’s nomination for non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council in 2027-2028 and asked to support Kyrgyzstan’s candidacy.
Alexander Stubb expressed readiness for dialogue and interest in developing bilateral relations and cooperation within international organizations.
The parties expressed confidence in further strengthening political, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries, which will contribute to achieving common goals in the international arena.
