A pilot project will be launched in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) from June 1, 2022 to track the movement of goods using navigation seals. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov told journalists.
According to him, the EAEU countries will ratify this proposal in the near future. It has already been signed by the heads of state.
The navigation seal will contain all documents on the cargo.
«We will see any vehicle or wagon in real time, if necessary. First of all, it concerns road transport. There should be all the information — about the owner of the cargo, its composition and destination. Through the use of navigation seals, we will try to shorten the delivery time of goods as much as possible. Everyone wants this, including our businessmen,» Akylbek Japarov said.
He also spoke about organizing the process in Kyrgyzstan. Under the agreement, each state of the EAEU must establish the production of navigation seals and create an information system.
«A tender for this project was won by a company that, unfortunately, cannot supply navigation seals itself. Dastan is ready and offers us these services. We take seals from them for internal tracking of the movement of cargo and commodity flows. As for the firm that was previously selected at the tender, it won the case in court. It has to supply 1,000-3,000 navigation seals. But their price is high. I think we will resolve this issue before the ratification of the document by the Parliament. Seals will be purchased at the expense of carriers and entrepreneurs. If necessary, we are ready to purchase them in order the goods not to stay on the territory of Kazakhstan or Russia too long. We want our businessmen to be able to deliver goods as soon as possible,» the head of the Cabinet said.
According to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers dated June 1, 2021 No. 21-r, the national operator of the system for tracking the transportation of goods using navigation seals is the Association of International Road Carriers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
