A meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will be held in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) on February 24-25 in a face-to-face format. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reported.
The first meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council this year will be attended by the heads of governments of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), EAEU observer states — Cuba and Uzbekistan, as well as the Chairman of the EEC Board Mikhail Myasnikovich.
The heads of governments of the Union will discuss implementation of the agreement on the mechanism of traceability of goods imported into the customs territory of the EAEU and the agreement on the use of navigation seals in the EAEU to track shipments. It is planned to consider a roadmap for expansion of industrial cooperation in the field of civil aviation in the Union for 2022-2023, a report on the current state and prospects of development of the integrated information system of the EAEU.
«In addition, discussion of the joint project for the implementation of accelerated container rail and multimodal transportation of agricultural products «Eurasian Agroexpress» is on the agenda. Amendments to the EAEU Treaty on the procedure of indirect taxation in electronic trade of goods sold to individuals, as well as Uzbekistan’s participation in certain EAEU initiatives and a number of other issues will be studied,» the statement says.
Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov will also take part in the event.
