Restrictions on supply of electricity imposed in regions of Kyrgyzstan

Electricity is turned off in the regions of Kyrgyzstan for the purpose of its saving. Residents of Panfilov district informed 24.kg news agency.

According to them, electricity has been repeatedly turned off last week. Representatives of the local power distribution company explained the blackouts by breakdowns, repair works, or cutting of trees. Another blackout was last night. One side of the village was left without electricity. After a call to the power distribution company, the electricity was turned on, but it was turned off on the other side of the village.

«This night the whole village was left without electricity. When we started calling and asking what was the reason, the company answered that there would be no electricity supply until 5 a.m. They explained it by the low volume of water in Toktogul reservoir. No one thought about the fact that when the electricity is turned off we have no water. Schools in the district have electric heating. Children went to learn in the ice-cold buildings. Why aren’t people warned about these blackouts? After all, the authorities promised no restrictions in the supply of electricity,» readers say.
