National Boxing Championship of Kyrgyzstan among juniors started in Bishkek. The Department of Physical Culture and Sports reported.
According to it, the championship is held at the Kozhomkul Sports Palace. About 140 boxers from all regions of Kyrgyzstan participate in it. They are competing in 19 weight categories from 48 to 92 kilograms and above.
Deputy Director of the Olympic Sports Directorate Nurlan Toktonaliev, Chief Referee of the tournament Kubanych Dzhanseitov, supervisor Myrzakerim Tokoldoshev, Secretary General of the Boxing Federation Bedaly Alymkulov spoke at the opening ceremony.
The championship will end on January 23.
