General Medical Practice Center in Kadamdzhai receives angiograph

An angiograph started functioning at the Kadamdzhai General Medical Practice Center. Press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to it, the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Alymkadyr Beishenaliev and the Presidential Envoy to Batken region Abdikarim Alimbayev took part in the ceremony of official commissioning of the angiograph the day before. Specialists at the Kadamdhzai General Medical Practice Center performed coronary angiography in three patients.

Zalkarbek Baimuratov, director of the center, said the angiograph had previously been used at the National Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation. «Our medical technicians installed the equipment and purchased the missing parts. The specialists were trained in Turkey and Russia in 2020, and we put the angiograph into operation today,» he noted.

The Ministry of Health added that due to optimization — combining of family medicine centers and territorial hospitals — administrative and managerial staff was reduced, and the necessary specialists were hired instead. «Thanks to this, we were able to open a cardiology department with 22 beds, 4 of which are intensive care beds,» the director of the center said.

In addition, an emergency department was organized at the center, where two doctors are on duty round the clock, and narrow specialists see patients during the day: a surgeon, a cardiologist, a pediatrician, a therapist and a gynecologist. Patients can get intravenous and intramuscular injections under the supervision of medical staff, without resorting to the services of private centers.

The minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev noted that residents of Batken region with cardiovascular diseases can be examined in the region without traveling to Osh or Bishkek. «There is a problem with the lack of stents, and the Ministry of Health will work in this direction. I also would like to add that disease prevention and reduction of mortality depends on the joint efforts of the Ministry of Health and local authorities,» the minister said.

Presidential Envoy Abdikarim Alimbayev promised that local authorities would also provide the necessary support to healthcare organizations in the region to improve the quality of medical services provided to the population.
