Three Russian military transport aircraft delivered humanitarian aid to Kabul. The return flight departed with citizens of Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan on board. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported.
«Three military transport aircraft that delivered humanitarian aid to the Kabul airport finished boarding the evacuees and left Afghanistan,» the Defense Ministry’s website said. There were about 200 people on board, including Afghan students studying in Russia.
The aircraft of the Russian Defense Ministry will deliver the evacuated citizens to the Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow.
The Russian Defense Ministry has been evacuating people since late August. In total, 770 citizens of Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Ukraine and Afghanistan were taken out from the country.
