The National Day of Kyrgyzstan was held in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) in the framework of Expo 2020. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov, the Minister of Tolerance of UAE, Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, members of the official delegation, businessmen and citizens of Kyrgyzstan living in the UAE.
«With a population of more than 6 million people, Kyrgyzstan is one of five countries that make up the strategically important Eurasian region — the Central Asian region. Our country has a thousand-year history, a unique nomadic culture and centuries-old traditions. Kyrgyzstan is always open to trusting and mutually beneficial cooperation both with neighboring and distant countries. We are interested in attracting investment and advanced technologies to Kyrgyzstan’s economy. We pay special attention to building up trade and economic cooperation,» Akylbek Japarov said.
He also said that Kyrgyzstan is determined to implement cardinal reforms in key areas of the state’s life in the near future. Therefore, Kyrgyzstan is sincerely interested in expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation with the United Arab Emirates. Bilateral dialogue and contacts are maintained on a regular basis.
The volume of mutual trade turnover in the first nine months of 2021 was about $47 million and increased more than four times compared to the same period of 2020.
«There are good prospects for cooperation in tourism. Tourists from Arab countries, including the United Arab Emirates, are fond of our beautiful mountains, rivers, clean mountain air and amazing landscapes. I am sure that after the stabilization of the epidemiological situation in the world, the number of tourists will steadily grow. However, there is still considerable untapped potential for cooperation, and we have already begun to actively work on it,» the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said.
Akylbek Japarov said that the Kyrgyz-Emirati business forum and tourism roadshow have already been held in the framework of the National Day of Kyrgyzstan, during which the participants established business contacts and signed a number of agreements. He is confident that thanks to the support of the Emirati side the participation of the Kyrgyz Republic in Expo 2020 in Dubai will contribute to attracting investments to the country and the signed documents will find practical implementation in the form of successful joint projects.
Experience in public administration and economic development of the United Arab Emirates is also important for us.

«On this basis, we have begun work on the study and application of «Government Accelerators» mechanism in Kyrgyzstan, which is successfully working not only in the United Arab Emirates, but also in other countries. I am convinced that the UAE experience will allow us to significantly improve the efficiency of public administration, to develop long-term development strategies and to introduce innovations into the activities of state bodies of the country,» he concluded.
After the speech of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, a concert program was organized with the participation of artists of Kambarkan, Akmaral ensembles and other artists from Kyrgyzstan.
