Altynbek Sulaimanov: Parliamentary elections were held in free competition

Elections to the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan were held honestly and in conditions of free competition. The leader of Alliance party, Altynbek Sulaimanov, told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, there were some violations during the election race: bribery and transportation of voters.

«We are satisfied with the election results. The voting was fair. There were violations, of course, but they were insignificant, and there were not so many of them as in the previous elections. The election race was held for the first time in free competition. All candidates competed with dignity,» Altynbek Sulaimanov said.

As of 8.30 p.m., according to the data presented on the portal of the election information system, six parties overcame the five percent threshold: Ata Zhurt Kyrgyzstan, Ishenim, Yntymak, Alliance, Butun Kyrgyzstan and Yiman Nuru.

Elections of deputies of the seventh convocation of the Parliament have ended in Kyrgyzstan. The electoral system was changed in the country, so there will be 90 deputies instead of 120. As a result, 54 deputies of the Parliament are elected according to the proportional system (open lists of candidates of political parties) in the single electoral district, 36 deputies — according to the majority system in single-mandate constituencies.
