The President of Kyrgyzstan instructed the Prosecutor General’s Office to conduct an investigation following an audit of the mining sector. Sadyr Japarov said it today at a meeting of the Security Council.
He said that an audit of the issuance of licenses for the deposits was carried out on his instructions.
«There are people who hold 20 licenses. They sit and look for a buyer among foreigners. There are licenses for expensive metal, coal, iron,» the head of state said.
Sadyr Japarov also instructed to check the energy sector within the next two months.
«There are facts of unreasonable writing-off of debts of some consumers. For example, there is a consumer, his house is not built yet, there is only a foundation, and he receives electricity bills for millions soms,» he said.
