From today on, in connection with the upcoming parliamentary elections on November 28, police officers have switched to a special enhanced duty regime. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
More than 11,000 law enforcement officers will ensure public order and security on the election day. The special regime will last until November 29.
Relief of the guard and a briefing of the internal affairs bodies of the Bishkek garrison took place today on the Old Square. The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktyabr Urmambetov attended the ceremony.
Round-the-clock duty will be carried out with the involvement of representatives of voluntary people’s patrol. Especially important and strategic objects will be taken under enhanced protection.
