Athlete from Kyrgyzstan wins bronze at CIS Games in Kazan

Ularbek Abdiev won a bronze medal in Muay Thai at the CIS Games in Kazan city (Russia). The Games’ website says.

The Kyrgyzstani competed in the weight category up to 57 kilograms.

Thus, the national team of Kyrgyzstan has 36 medals — 2 gold, 10 silver and 24 bronze.

Raimaly uulu Nurmanbet (belt wrestling) and Kalmira Bilimbekova (freestyle wrestling) won gold medals.

The national team of Russia takes the 1st place (81 gold medals), Uzbekistan — the 2nd (17 gold medals) and Azerbaijan — the 3rd (12 gold places) in the medal standings.

Kazan city (Russia) is hosting the 1st Games of the CIS countries from September 4 to September 11, 2021. More than 1,100 athletes from 14 to 23 years old from nine countries of the Commonwealth participate in the Games.

The Games are held in 16 sports. In total, the athletes compete for 182 sets of medals.
