Seven centers conduct free hemodialysis during Ramadan in Kyrgyzstan

Seven hemodialysis centers of Kyrgyzstan began to provide the service free of charge for needy patients on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. The head of the Dialysis Patient Association, Venera Tashmanbetova, told on her page on Facebook.

At least 170 people are waiting in line for undergoing the procedure at the expense of the budget. They are forced to pay for the service themselves. One procedure costs 4,700 soms. They need 12-13 procedures per month.

Earlier, Venera Tashmanbetova reported that at least five patients died due to the fact that they missed the procedures not being able to pay for them.

Since January 1, 2020, the state has undertaken the payment of dialysis services for patients with chronic renal failure of the fifth stage. Patients undergo hemodialysis under the same conditions without co-payment.
