The prosecutor’s office of the city of Bishkek, upon the appeal of representatives of the Association of Hemodialysis Patients, carried out an inspection of the quality of the provision of medical services, artificial kidney devices, the legality of registration, issuance of certificates for artificial kidney devices and their import into the republic. The Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
It was established that the responsible persons of the Bishkek territorial administration of the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund without the necessary permits for the use of the devices illegally financed the compulsory medical insurance of hemodialysis services provided by private medical institutions.
Some nongovernmental medical centers have installed artificial kidney devices without confirming their quality, endangering the lives and health of patients.
Officials of the Bishkek territorial administration by conspiracy with employees of non-state medical institutions, without confirming the availability of the necessary permits for the equipment used, financed hemodialysis in excess of the established norm.
The supervisory authority initiated a criminal case under Articles 337 (abuse of office), 245 (abuse of authority by employees of commercial or other organizations) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
