«The application had been drawn up within several months. We did not understand how realistic it was to get this award. After all, every year, hundreds of participants from all over the world apply for it. As a result, all 15 members of the commission voted for the candidacy of Aleksey Petrushevsky,» Aida Baizhumanova, Coordinator of the Human Rights Movement Bir Duino Kyrgyzstan, told.

Recall, Aleksey Petrushevsky had been the head of the Center for Rehabilitation of Children and Youth at the City Administration of Bishkek for almost 16 years.
