Transparency International to study corruption risks in subsoil use

Transparency International Kyrgyzstan will launch a study on detection of corruption risks in the licensing of subsoil use. Organization’s Director, Aigul Akmatzhanova, told during a meeting with Emil Osmonbetov, Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use.

The study is launched in the framework of the global initiative «Mining for Sustainable Development». It is implemented in more than 20 countries of the world. The parties proposed to combine efforts to reduce the risks of corruption in the industry, as well as to hold joint activities in this area.

Transparency International is a global independent organization engaged in study and fight against corruption. Branches of Transparency International operate in more than 90 countries of the world.
