Supervisory Board of the Business Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan announced a competition for the selection of candidates for the position of a chief defender of entrepreneurs. The Ministry of Economy reported.
Business Ombudsman will consider complaints about alleged corruption actions and other violations of the legitimate interests of enterprises as a result of actions or inaction (including decisions) by state and municipal authorities, state-controlled enterprises and their officials.
A candidate for the position of Business Ombudsman should have a higher education, in-depth knowledge of economic, social problems, problems of public administration and other problems related to doing business in Kyrgyzstan. In addition, a candidate must have an impeccable business reputation, high moral character, no criminal record and not be involved in corruption scandals and proceedings.
It is desirable for a candidate to have experience in protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the business, work with regulations and applying them in practice, business activity or work in business associations and experience of interaction with government agencies and business.
At the same time, future Business Ombudsman has no right to hold any elective or any other position in state structures, to perform any paid or unpaid work in state structures, business entities, enterprises, institutions and organizations, to engage in business activities, with the exception of unpaid teaching and scientific activities carried out in connection with their official duties.
A Business Ombudsman cannot be a founder and take financial or any other participation in the activities of business entities, enterprises, institutions, organizations and other legal entities, regardless of their form of ownership.
Business Ombudsman has no right to be a member or otherwise participate in the activities of any political party in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Applications of candidates for post of Business Ombudsman are accepted until April 30, 2019. The Ministry of Economy promises that all information will be kept strictly confidential. Only qualified candidates will be invited to an interview. The choice of a candidate for the position will be made by the Supervisory Board of the Business Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic.
