Foreign Minister: No strategic changes in Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy

Strategic changes in the foreign policy of Kyrgyzstan are not expected. The Foreign Affairs Minister of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov told journalists, commenting on the recently adopted concept of the country’s foreign policy.

According to him, a section on national interest was for the 1st time included in the concept.

«There are no major changes in the concept. The emphasis is laid on national interests,» the Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic said.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov meets with Ambassadors of Kyrgyzstan in the state residence Ala-Archa today. The heads of 27 embassies and 34 diplomatic missions were invited to the meeting with representatives of the foreign policy establishment.

«Meeting with the ambassadors has not been held since 2017. Tasks and directions of foreign policy will be set during the meeting,» the Foreign Affairs Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov told reporters.
