Bekbolot Talgarbekov sues ex-president Almazbek Atambayev

Bekbolot Talgarbekov, who was released from prison, intends to sue the former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev. He stated this to reporters.

He is outraged that Almazbek Atambayev said more than once that his opponents (Bekbolot Talgarbekov and his supporters), using the FSB generals, want to carry out a coup d’état.

It’s a lie. I will definitely go to court in order he to prove his words. He invented it.

He added that they simply collaborated with the Russian generals to investigate the June 2010 events.

Bekbolot Talgarbekov, convicted for attempt to forcibly seize power, was released from prison on March 7. Alamedin District Court decided to release Bekbolot Talgarbekov on parole.

In May 2016, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan opened a criminal case against members of the People’s Parliament.
