Gasoline imported from Kazakhstan may cost 3-4 soms less than that from Russia. The Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov announced this today at a meeting of the Parliament.
According to him, gasoline in Kazakhstan is cheaper than in Kyrgyzstan by about 10 soms. However, this does not mean that in case of import of the fuel from the Republic of Kazakhstan it will have the same price like in the neighboring country.
«There are no export or import duties, but there are excise taxes on fuel and lubricants, because the fuel is included in the excisable goods group. At present, the excise tax is 5,000 soms per 1 ton. This means that 5 soms per liter will be immediately added to the cost of the fuel. But the price of gasoline in Kazakhstan is lower than in Russia. Due to this, we expect gasoline prices to drop by 3-4 soms,» Oleg Pankratov told.
The agreement between the countries on the supply of fuel and lubricants has not been signed yet. But it is already known that Kazakhstan is going to supply only AI 92 gasoline in the amount of 100,000 tons to Kyrgyzstan.
