Representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Roads and the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan confirmed their readiness, jointly with the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development, to start the implementation of the project «Reconstruction of Aral-Suusamyr Highway.» The Eurasian Development Bank reported.
According to it, the fund’s experts visited Kyrgyzstan to monitor the implementation of the projects «Reconstruction of Bishkek-Osh highway. Phase 4» and «Commissioning of the 2nd Hydraulic Unit of Kambarata Hydropower Station 2,» as well as preparation of the project «Reconstruction of Aral-Suusamyr road.»
Consultations were held on the fourth phase of the reconstruction of Bishkek-Osh road section, issues of project implementation and the necessary measures to accelerate it were discussed. As for Kambarata 2, working documents were agreed, a project for the construction of an additional spillway basin of hydropower stations and other measures to ensure safe operation of the station were worked out.
«Following the consultations, Kyrgyzstan plans to send a preliminary application to EFSD for financing the project «Reconstruction of Aral-Suusamyr Highway» after the necessary domestic procedures,» the EDB stressed.
