Case on the death of a two-year-old baby in the intensive care unit of the National Center for Maternity and Childhood Welfare in December 2018 was sent to Panfilovsky District Court of Bishkek. The Internal Affairs Department for Chui region reported.
The suspect, a friend of the child’s mother, was charged with intentional harm to health. Examinations proved that the boy died as a result of beatings. The person under investigation claims that she did not beat the kid, he allegedly fell out of bed.
The accused is in custody. The lawyers are requesting a change in the measure of restraint, saying that the defendant has minor children.
Recall, mother left her son with her friend and left for work in Russia. When she was informed that the baby had entered the hospital in serious condition with numerous bruises and unconscious, she returned to Kyrgyzstan. But she did not write a statement to the police against her friend.
This is not the first case of child abuse in Kyrgyzstan. In January 2015, a two-year-old brutally beaten Ibragim was hospitalized. The kid remained disabled.
