The term of detention of Melis Kalykov — the suspect in the murder of the prosecutor of Batken region Anarbai Mamazhakypov — was extended. The press service of the Ministry of Interior informed 24.kg news agency.
The decision was made by the court in connection with the extension of the investigation. Melis Kalykov will remain in the detention center until February 18.
Anarbai Mamazhakypov was killed in Batken on November 18. The body of the prosecutor was found outside the city. The police detained an employee of the Capital Construction Department of Batken region on suspicion of the murder. The suspect reported torture by employees of law enforcement agencies.
